The project is situated in Hebei Province's Handan City. With a total length of 651 kilometers, the Taihang Mountain Expressway is a national highway that crosses the Taihang Mountains. The 68.68-kilometer-long Handan section runs through the counties of Wu'an and Shexian. It now serves as a crucial transit route linking Beijing, Hebei, and Henan.

To construct the I-beam in the Handan section of the Taihang Mountain Expressway, HL-Katter supplied 80t-40m I-beam launchers that were independently created and produced by the company. In this project, the I-beam span was separated into 30m and 40m spans.
